Hey all!
Do y'all know of some websites where I can enter in a song title and it'll come up with theorigen of the song? For example song standards, let's say, "the way you look tonight." Who originally wrote it? Who were some of the first performers?
Some songs are such standards, I get curious when did this song first come on the music scene? *smile*

Interesting question. I know that several sites are devoted to lyrics and such but don't know them offhand. Sometimes, typing in the name of the song in quotes and then the word lyrics afterword will bring you to one of those sites and you can find others there. I'm not sure if they give all the performers and versions, though some might. perhaps, a search for song database or searching for a specific genre would help you in your quest.
